"I was struggling with how to assist my own family members, my two grandsons, who each have blended families to learn to navigate the problems they were having. The problems were with the kids. I felt stuck and helpless and wanted a way to assist them without telling them what to do. The teens were suffering the most. They were going from home to home 2-3 times a month. That's when I thought about having the watch and learn about "The Wizard Of OZ" story as a way of seeing, hearing, and feeling what was not working, and how they could turn things around and have the home they all wanted and desired. I started to inquire if this was happening with other families. Teens in particular, have a hard time adjusting. This gave me the idea that this metaphor could be useful and non-intrusive in a big way. They both found that it was an opening for both of the teens and parents. There was an opportunity to share and learn more about what was working and what wasn't working. Sometimes there isn't an opportunity to speak about these things. This became an opening for me and my family to navigate difficult conversations.

What's been the biggest change in your business?
The biggest change in my business is knowing that there are many families going through hard times with making the head, heart, and mind connections. This is also for the parents as well. I can also see this as a possibility for senior citizens. When reaching a certain age their life is not over. They have wisdom and knowledge that is very useful still in many areas of their life and that of others.
