"How I Found My True Calling in Copywriting and Political Communication
Last year, I heard the word copywriting for the first time. Until then, I had never sold a product or designed a digital offering. My focus had always been on working for an enterprise. But then I discovered John Carlton, which eventually led me to Marisa.
Marisa entered my life at a crucial moment. I was in the hospital, recovering from major surgery, when I realized I needed more independence from my current job. This period gave me plenty of time to learn—and a wealth of knowledge that I wanted to share.
Determined to take action, I invested in the EPM program. My goal was to translate my expertise into a digital product and turn it into a part-time hustle. I started with 1:1 coaching and chose a target audience I believed had the financial resources to invest—business professionals. I explored my experience in leadership, business, and self-mastery to build a coaching program.
For months, I immersed myself in lessons, refining my approach. But over time, I realized something crucial: I wasn’t enjoying it. The process of creating a product felt uninspiring, and I lacked the motivation to see it through. What I did enjoy was connecting with and creating content for businesswomen, but I didn’t want to turn it into a business. This happened during ""Give-What-They-Want""-Modul.
At the same time, I was deeply involved in democratic organizations and advocacy. I noticed that many volunteers lacked the knowledge and time to communicate effectively. I strongly believe that newsletters can be a powerful tool to persuade people to vote for democracy and build trust. It’s also essential for these organizations to own their contact lists instead of relying on tech oligarchs.
That’s why, in December, I made the difficult but necessary decision to completely redesign my experience product. It wasn’t easy, but it was the right choice."
