"My MVP Story:

This is a monumental year for me! I am celebrating my Diamond Year! What’s that? I am 62 years old having been born in 1962. As a mom of five heart-centered young men, married to the love of my life, having dedicated the last 40 years to the medical profession, I feel that I am now being called to serve at another level, as a fellow traveller to others on our collective sole-to-soul journeys. Keen to share my knowledge and experiential wisdom with those who are looking for a different way of moving through life that nourishes their soul, I am ready to leave academics and dive into my next mission in life! I love helping people discover their unique gifts to share with the world so they can discover what is possible within, so they can squeeze a little more juice out of this wonderful life we came here to live.

With many of my colleagues retiring, I had different plans. I knew that I was still meant to be more and do more with my life, although the rest remained pretty fuzzy. I think I am still a diamond in the rough! Anyway, I had made the decision, in the last couple years, that I would pursue an entrepreneurial path instead of retiring.

So, I am currently maneuvering a transition from my academic career onto an entrepreneurial path but I knew that I would need to do this with a level of intention as I complete my duties within my academic department and navigate closure of my clinical practice as an integrative dynamic psychiatrist.

So, here I was struggling with next steps, dabbling in different trainings including having completed training to facilitate a higher ticket course. I am already running beta groups in this high ticket offer in my spare time while still running a full-time practice. I now wanted to develop modules for a virtual low-ticket course and I was looking for clarity in landing my ideal target audience.

That’s when I came across Marisa’s Experience Product Masterclass as part of Live Your Message and I knew immediately this was my next move. Considering that I was committed to maintaining my full-time practice, for now, I knew that this would require me to carve out more time in my after-work hours, but I was quickly convinced that this was a good investment of my time, which I am quite aware is a non-renewable resource!! Confession: My greatest difficulty is that I have a very active and busy mind that never quiets down. This continual flow of new ideas, although entertaining, usually attempts to find traction in action and eventually overwhelms me. When I reach that critical threshold, I wake up to the realization that I am juggling far too many balls in the air and something has to give.

I was kind of stuck and a little unsure of how I needed to proceed. Although I have worked hard at pushing myself to take on each next challenge in my entrepreneurial journey, this is really new territory for me and sometimes I feel I am diving in blind. I truly am a very strong believer in standing on the shoulders of giants and building from proven strategies. Why re-invent the wheel when I can go further, faster and increase my chances of succeeding by following someone who has gone before me and been very successful?

Looking for guidance in this next leg of my journey, it almost felt as if Divine intervention was at play. I believe that life is one grand adventure to be lived large with a curious mind, a brave open heart, and the unshakable faith that you are here to share your unique brand of greatness with the world. Obviously, so does Marisa! Since the theme of my main course was “The Game of Life … Play It Better,” it was only natural that I would come across the opportunity to “Experiencify” it! How fun!!!

I joined Marisa’s Experience Product Masterclass and that’s when I learned the brilliant philosophy of “Iterating my way to AWESOME!!!” Love it!!! Progress over perfection! One step at a time.

I took action by keeping my head down (no more new shiny objects for awhile!!) and followed Marisa’s program, diving into one module at a time, and completing every action item within each module, chasing that next win each time. It felt good to have a map and a guide for my next steps and I could begin to feel the momentum building. The best part was I only had to concentrate on next steps and not worry about the whole journey. Marisa had it all figured out. I was confident she had our backs the whole time! I had the luxury of concentrating fully on creating and implementing my own course. I didn’t have to figure out the big picture because she has already done the reconnaissance trip and we were benefiting from her many years of experience on her previous journey!

And YES! I was able to complete the paper airplane version of my Minimal Viable Product (MVP). I completed the MVP Track, finishing all the modules, implementing the action steps along the way, and enjoyed celebrating each win as I completed them.

Graduation Story:
Woo Hoo! Graduation! Completed Module 3 and the MVP track. True to their promise, EPM isn't just a training program, it's an implementation program. You're not just watching videos. You're taking action to design, launch and profit from your very own Experience Product that you create during this time together. I really appreciated the comprehensive content of Marisa’s course and how effectively she translated it into its practical application. It’s so engaging that I found myself incrementally implementing every step as we went along. It was laid out in a stepwise, manageable way that I felt that I was achieving success all the way along this journey. This course is so well organized and especially incorporating Ainslee in the whole course is a massive game-changer!

I have to add that, in addition to getting coaching with Marisa every week, the coaches we were assigned were amazing and so supportive. I had Coach Mel, who made this so fun while keeping us all on track throughout. She added such sugar and spice to this journey! Add Matthew Turton in the mix for GIDF’s and you have an unbeatable coaching team! This course had me working so steady and diligently while not realizing how hard I was working until I began to take stock and realize how much I have accomplished!

Not only did I end up graduating, but I also achieved:
- Goal 1: Mission Accomplished … I launched My MVP!
- Goal 2: Made My First Sale!
- Goal 3: Proved My Idea With 3 Sales …
- And … made a whole lot more!

Mission Accomplished Story: Launching my MVP
Right when I graduated, having completed Module 3 and the MVP track, I just started chatter-boxing in my “real” world, not yet the “virtual” world of social media. I now had my paper plane version of my MVP and I was sharing it with lots of people.

On my journey in my “real” world, I got lots of yes’ and no’s and everything in-between. Lots of buy in’s; some interested-but-not-yet’s; more yes’ and no’s, etc. It’s all good! I love variety!!! Everything is a win! I brought the energy and excitement and I was building momentum while getting incrementally better at talking up my course.

This next leg of my journey is all new to me. I’ve never had a platform on social media before but I think that I might just enjoy this chatter-boxing because that is something I do naturally in the real world when I am passionate about something. Social media and getting myself out there in the virtual world is another learning curve for me.

My take-away: Never underestimate the power of belonging to a tribe. We’re all in this together, rooting for each other, and lifting each other up to our collective greatness and that feels pretty awesome. Special kudos to Marisa and Coach Mel and the whole EPM Team. You guys are awesome! Now launching my MVP in real time. One step at a time!

First Sale Story:
Woo Hoo! Did it! My first sale!
I actually tapped into a pretty warm audience, and it was fairly easy for me to have them gain interest in the course I am creating. I’m in the process of closing my clinical practice but continue to have people who are asking for help for themselves or their family members. I also have people who want to know how they can continue to work with me.

It didn’t take long for me to have people who were interested in my course and in working with me. Now the issue is that this audience is not actually my ideal client, as I want to work with mature leaders in the legacy years of their life. Having said that, I sat back and reflected on what I wanted to accomplish in this leg of my entrepreneurial journey. I simply wanted to create this course and get feedback on it, iterating it to a more awesome product. And that I am now set up to do. This will allow me to improve it and improve my delivery and comfort while working with this warmer audience. My next iteration can be tweaked and honed to accommodate a closer iteration to my ideal client.

And Much, Much More …
I started out with making a commitment and I held true to this.
The MVP Mindset Commitment:
- I will focus on creating a Minimum Viable Product as a means to deliver my Core Solution so I can get to market fast, with the lease cost and complexity possible.
- I commit to launching my MVP, or the next version of my product, during the 12 weeks of the program, so I can test and ultimately PROVE my idea, and iterate my way to awesome as my market gives me feedback.
- I commit to starting with the minimal Experience Formula Experiences I need and then Supercharging my results with Experience Escalation after I’ve proved my MVP.
- I committee to sticking with the Flight Plan as I work through my Goals and achieve my Blockbuster Hit Product.
- I understand that some of these Goals may take longer than the 12 weeks of the program and that it’s not a matter of if, but when.

My MVP Course will ultimately be priced at $ 1997.00 for 6 weeks (pre-recorded modules with additional weekly live coaching sessions). My Beta program pricing was set at $ 497.00 for 6 weeks of live modules (no additional coaching sessions). I easily managed to enrol about 16 people, 3 couples, and one family to take this course all starting in a month when I return from a family destination wedding in Cancun.
Total Amount You Made: Total = $ 9,131.00

Thanks to Marisa and her amazing team, especially my coach, Coach Mel, who added so much to this whole experience! She brought such incredible energy and wisdom, injecting her unique brand of humor and FUN that I didn’t even notice how hard I was working at getting this all done! What a team! What a family! Immeasurably grateful!
