Emani Stanford

2024

I was struggling with a lot of things during the program honestly; the only thing I came into the program with clarity on was the people that I wanted to help and the problem I wanted to solve, even if I didn't have the wording quite figured out. Every other step was a struggle for me, since I don't come from a business background and everything I'd learned about business was from Youtube and a couple books here and there. I joined EPM, and that’s when I learned how to take my expertise and package it into something people would not only pay for, but also get results form. Despite the various points I got stuck or struggled in the program, the biggest mental challenge for me, undoubtedly was launching. I almost decided not to launch and only convinced myself to in the penultimate week of the program just to be able to get some new insight I could bring to my coach in a question at the last coaching pod call. I'm glad I did, because that first week of 4 enrollment calls led to my first sale, which I didn't even end up celebrating really because I was in disbelief the whole time. Then the second week of 5 more enrollment calls led to my 2nd sale, which I was able to feel a little bit of excitement for because it meant the first one really wasn't a fluke. And that's where I am now. I don't know if I'll make it to proving my idea with 3 sales or if I'll make back my investment, since I'd need 5 sales to do that at my price point, but I can say for certain that I learned more that I could've ever imagined and I have more confidence in my ability to make this work than before. I also am still going back and forth on whether I'll actually deliver the program this year, but I do feel good knowing that even if I cancel it, when I am ready to come back, I know what I need to do and can make it happen whenever I choose.
