"In almost 5 decades in business, if there was one thing I was good at, it was building dedicated teams who would walk through fire for me. This could be witnessed by the fact that my staff churn was basically zero: no one ever left! Over more recent years, as a business consultant, I have witnessed team spirit that left a great deal to be desired. I realised that my methods were something that I could teach.
My problem as the course progressed was coming up with appropriate teaching material. I am a writer, and think best through a pen, so I took a step back and wrote a book on the subject from which I then extracted the course material. I made postings offering the book for free on Linkedin, and Facebook but had little response. I offered the course to the only respondent and then asked, if it wasn't for him, could he could recommend anyone else. The answer no came through in the silence that followed in his not responding to my messages.I have not given up. I intend to publish the book, which will allow people to follow my methods if they want to go it alone, but hopefully, the corporate world will see the value in inviting me to teach it to their team leaders.
